The Church

The Church examines the people of God as formed by the gospel, brought into covenant life through Christ, and ordered according to the apostolic pattern. This category traces the church’s identity as the body of Christ, the household of God, the temple of the Holy Spirit, and a royal priesthood called to worship, holiness, unity, discipline, mission, and faithful obedience. Its aim is to recover the biblical doctrine of the church from the teaching of Jesus and the apostles, testing modern ecclesiology, denominational practice, membership, leadership, communion, worship, and doctrinal unity by the witness of Scripture.
